International Fingerprinting Service

Applicants who reside outside of Canada but wish to obtain a Canadian Criminal Record Check from Canada can use the International Fingerprinting Service. If you lived in Canada for more than 6 months, it is usually required for some specific applications. Frontier One Inc. is an accredited fingerprinting agency by the RCMP and can provide this service to all overseas applicants.

To obtain the RCMP background check from outside Canada, applicants will need to email us at international@f1fingerprint.ca or call us at (905) 703-6810 for instructions and an application package.

The main requirement of the application is your fingerprints card. However, you will also need to complete other documents in your application package. For fingerprints, you can get it done at any local police station or authorized fingerprinting agency in your home country. We will need to review all your documents via email once everything is ready, before mailing them all to our office in Canada for processing. Once received, we will create your application and convert your fingerprints from the hard copy card to digital fingerprints using our Card Scan system. Then, your application (along with your fingerprints) will be submitted electronically to the RCMP to obtain the Canadian Criminal Record Check.

Usually, it would take around 2-3 weeks from the day we submitted your application, to get the result from the RCMP. The RCMP will mail back the result to any applicant’s preferred mailing address in either Canada or the US, by regular mail from Canada Post (without any tracking number). There will also be an option for the result to be sent to our office, then we will mail it to your overseas address with an additional mailing fee.
